Sick taste in my mouth

So I added AdSense to my blog (people, I encourage you to click on it if you see and ad that interests you - scroll down!!!), and noticed 'desimartini.com'... (now if you intend on checking it out, please do so through the ad - scroll down!!)

WHAT A RIP-OFF!!!

I mean, seriously... facebook lovers from the world over, this is in bad taste. Desi Martini has been advertising, on television, internet, I mean this is big. They are positioning themselves as India's premier social network. And it's a copy of facebook? The layout, colours, sections, everything! First I thought that I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. So I checked to see if it is affiliated with Facebook. Mark Zucherberg, your footprint doesn't extend here, and for that I am sad.

When Facebook opened its doors to the non-collegiate public, I was unhappy. I can imagine a lot of people were. High Schools, countries, offices - you name it, it joined it! But slowly i began to appreciate how the privacy and networks were handled. And now here again we have an open network with no privacy other than blocking the profile entirely, and its a rip-off. India, we have a lot going for us. Let's be original about these things. If nothing, I need a job, and I can design a wee bit. Hire me...
